The Hawk Meadow Foundation

In 2016, we established the Hawk Meadow Montessori School Foundation (HMMSF). The purpose of HMMSF is to provide a community-based, nonprofit entity that will serve to enhance the efficacy, availability, affordability and excellence of a Hawk Meadow Montessori School education.

HMMSF helps facilitate the educational needs of the School and its teachers and students, and has been instrumental in helping things get implemented at the new property. We raised nearly $20,000 in 2016, distributing $11,000 of that to teacher requests and safety improvements in the new building.

Upcoming projects may include educational equipment such as books and computers, equipment and faculty to support arts, music and other special programs, scholarships and educationally positive capital improvements.

Together with the School’s Strategic Planning Committee, HMMSF will assist the leaders of the school in thinking on a larger scale for the years to come: adding on buildings, art galleries and music rooms, drama programs and performances, and much more.

HMMSF holds two major fundraisers each year, Comedy Night and the Spring Soirée, which is a live auction and dinner.
