My name is Sadi Eddy. I am a transplant from Scottsdale, Arizona and have lived here in Dutchess County since 1993. I am a teacher in the toddler program. I am married to my high school sweetheart, Andrew, and we have two children: Shawn and Hannah.
I began working for the Brendon Montessori School in June of 1997 as an aide in the summer program for an elementary special needs student. From September 1997 through February 2002, I worked as an assistant in the Toddler, Primary and Elementary Montessori classrooms and ran the after-school program for several years at Brendon. In February 2002 I took a job with a mortgage company where I remained until April 2006. Then I was on the search for a job that I would be proud of, where I could make a difference, and (being a bit selfish) a job where I would be happy to be every day. After looking for over a year, I found myself back at Brendon Montessori: it was like being at home. My first year back was an eventful one. I was at Brendon for few short months when we had a fire in one of the buildings and we moved into a temporary location for the rest of the school year. Brendon Montessori School closed its doors after the 2007-2008 school year.
Hawk Meadow Montessori was opened in September of 2008, where I spent 5 more years as an Assistant Toddler Teacher. Now, here we are years later, I know that I made the right choice in coming back to Montessori. The 2013-2014 school year was my first year as Head Teacher and the year I worked on completing my Infant/Toddler Montessori Certification. I couldn’t ask for a more friendly, caring and supportive staff and family community to grow with year after year.
