Hello. My name is Carol Daubman, and I am thrilled to be a part of the Hawk Meadow Montessori School as one of teachers in the Primary B classroom.
My wonderful family has been a driving force behind my passion for child development throughout my life. My husband of 40 years and I have five children and three beautiful grandchildren. My youngest grandson, Jack, is enjoying his first educational experience at Hawk Meadow.
For over 27 years, I have actively pursued advancement in teaching and youth development within the Hudson Valley. In 1992, I joined the St. Stanislaus Nursery School as an assistant teacher, and within two years was given the opportunity to become the school’s lead teacher. I enjoyed this position for 11 years, leaving to assist my aging parents in 2004. My chance to return to my passion in 2006 was a welcome opportuntiy when I was offered an assistant teacher position at St. Joseph’s Parochial School in Millbrook.
With each wonderul opportunity to teach, I have enthusiastically applied the skills received from Our Montessori Training Center in Carmel, New York. I have found that integrating the application of the Montessori methodology into any environment can produce thoughtful, independent and creative individuals in the classroom. Upon joining Hawk Meadow in 2011, I was thrilled with the chance to share these skills and experiences with the loving and nurturing community of the Hawk Meadow Montessori School where I have happily found a home.
